Monday Gary had to go to the lab first thing in the morning which means that he had to fast last night. They took 5 tubes of blood and told him to eat something. Little did they know that we already planned on eating breakfast out. We went to Grandma's Restaurant in Oceanside where we always have a good meal. After breakfast we did some Christmas shopping which took most of the day. Once we returned, I started cleaning up from having the kids here for several days. We deflated the air bed, did 3 loads of laundry, put Jennifer's toys away, took the leaf out of the dinning room table and just did a general pick up the mess in the house. Tomorrow I will do more, maybe. My sister had back surgery today and Mom called late this afternoon to say she was doing well.
Tuesday Gary took a gift to the post office to be mailed back east while I did more laundry and sorted Christmas gifts for the grand kids. He drove my car so I had to wait until he returned before I could go Christmas shopping again. Gary returned the extra storage boxes and air bed to our storage trailer while I was gone. Once again, I was gone most of the day. I'm having a hard time finding some stuff this year. I guess I just don't have my Christmas spirit yet. Our family will be celebrating separately this year and Gary and I will be celebrating our 25th anniversary. That's what happens when you get married on Christmas Eve, you either don't celebrate the anniversary or don't celebrate Christmas. We should have thought this through before we chose our wedding date. At least Gary never forgets the date!
