About Us

Here we go again! There is so much more of our great United States still to see that we have become full-timers again. In addition to seeing new sights, we will be volunteering our services at national and state parks and points of interest. Check out our diary style blog below to follow us on our travels. Also, look into our archive and check the exciting places we have seen.

Saturday - Sunday, December 16-17, 2017

Saturday we left early to go to the ranch but not before stopping for breakfast in Clairmont at the Country Waffle Restaurant.  Not one of our better meal this time, food was good but barely warm.  They were very busy and we never saw our waitress after she delivered our food until she brought the bill.  We stopped at the Asian market just down the street before we headed towards the ranch.  Mom and Honey looked good and both seemed happy to see us.  We visited with Mom for awhile then drove up to Connie's to visit with her.  She just recently came home from having back surgery, again. After we visited for a bit, Connie sent us up to her craft room to get a box for her.  It turned out to be a gift for us for our upcoming anniversary.  We opened it to find an Instant Pot.  The gift was.from Mom, Connie and Dennis.  I just looked at the Instant Pot last week while doing some Christmas shopping.  I look forward to making some meals with it after the holiday.

Sunday, we did some grocery shopping this morning so I could make cookies for the our two grand kids that are dairy sensitive.  I ended up altering a Peanut Butter recipe to make Almond butter cookies for them.  Instead of making round cookies, I rolled out the dough and made some Christmas shaped cookies, stars, trees and candy canes mostly.  I left a few undecorated for Gary and I to try, afterall we have to make sure they are good!  Gary was a trooper and did all the dishes for me. Will wash dishes for cookies. By the time I finished, it was time for dinner.  Fortunaly, I had some leftover I could reheat for dinner. Later this evening, I made some turkey meatballs for the kids, adding some zucchini and carrots to the turkey.  It seems like I have been cooking all day!
