Here we go again! There is so much more of our great United States still to see that we have become full-timers again. In addition to seeing new sights, we will be volunteering our services at national and state parks and points of interest. Check out our diary style blog below to follow us on our travels. Also, look into our archive and check the exciting places we have seen.
We were up a little earlier than normal and finished packing the last few things so we could drive home today. We left a few minutes before 8 am and drove to Primm where we stopped for a quick breakfast at McDonald's and so did a bunch of other people. Good thing we got there a few minutes before the big crowd. We had traffic for about 30 miles then it seemed to thin out. Gary spotted a Titanium going towards Vegas about 10 miles West of Baker, CA. It happened so fast by the time I turned around all I saw was the back of the trailer and a little bit of the truck. We haven't seen a Titanium on the road in a very long time with the exception of the Titanium and Friends Blue Light Rally in November. We stopped just South of Barstow to top off the tank and switch drivers. We figured it was about the halfway point. Now it's my turn to drive and after a few minutes on the road, Gary receive a call from his Cousin Mark's wife Vicki. She called to tell us that Cousin David, Mark's brother, passed away during the night and was discovered this morning. What a shock! We just spoke with him last week before we left on this trip and had no indication there was anything wrong with him. I guess when it's your time, it's your time. His birthday would have been in 3 days. We miss you David and you hold a special place in our hearts forever, R.I.P.
