About Us

Here we go again! There is so much more of our great United States still to see that we have become full-timers again. In addition to seeing new sights, we will be volunteering our services at national and state parks and points of interest. Check out our diary style blog below to follow us on our travels. Also, look into our archive and check the exciting places we have seen.

One thing about being gone for a week is that there is lots of laundry to do when you get home.  I washed everything as it all smelled of cigarette smoke from being in the Las Vegas Casinos.  That pretty much occupied most of my Friday and Saturday.  I'm not thrilled with my new washer/dryer combo as their run time cycles take so long.

We had to make last minute arrangements to attend the funeral for Cousin David early next year.  All so depressing.  I can't believe he is gone.  We just spoke with him last week and his brother Mark spoke with him on Christmas Day.  Neither of us were given any indication that he was ill.  I guess we will just have to wait for the results of the autopsy to find out what happen.  In any event, it's a great loss to the Armbruster family.  David had retired from the University of Tennessee where he had been a professor of Russian history and literature and finishing his career doing thesis review for the medical school.  He may have had a PhD but he definitely wasn't an old stuffy professor.  He was the warmest, caring and funniest people I had ever met and I will miss his funny emails, calls and visits.

Finally, New Year's Eve and I will not miss 2017 one bit, what a awful year for us.  Today I learned that another friend had passed away while we were in Las Vegas.  Enough already!

Goodbye 2017 and good riddance!  I am anxiously awaiting 2018 and hoping it will be a better year for all!
