About Us

Here we go again! There is so much more of our great United States still to see that we have become full-timers again. In addition to seeing new sights, we will be volunteering our services at national and state parks and points of interest. Check out our diary style blog below to follow us on our travels. Also, look into our archive and check the exciting places we have seen.

Here we go again! Kristy sent me a text today saying the maintenance required light came on.  She isn't familiar with it, so I told her it just means that the car is due for an oil change.  Meanwhile she took photos of the engine compartment and under the engine which showed leaking radiator hoses and oil leaks  So I called Eric's in Fallbrook and made an appointment for tomorrow morning.  Gary and I will meet her there since she doesn't hear very well

Tuesday, we left early and arrived at Eric's about 20 minutes early but right after Kristy arrived.  Good timing.  We left her car and went to breakfast a couple of blocks down the street from the garage.  After breakfast Kristy wanted to pick up a couple of things at the grocery store before heading back to her house.  We waiting a couple of hours before hearing back from the garage. Her car needs a lot of work.  Some of which we knew about and some that we didn't.  After Jennifer got home from school, we drove my car back to my house and then Kristy took my car home to use until her car is ready.

Wednesday, we were expecting her car to be fixed by this afternoon but I guess it will be tomorrow before they are finished.  Gary and I hung around the house all day waiting for the call but never received one from the garage.  I made some homemade chicken soup in my Instant Pot today.  I made a big batch so I can give some to Kristy. She sent me a text this morning saying Amanda was too sick to go to school today.  What's better for a cold than homemade chicken soup? We had some for dinner tonight and it was quite tasty!
